Women at Yale

Welcome!

This Web site is your portal into and guide to Celebrating Yale Women: 40 Years in Yale College, 140 Years at Yale.

It’s been 40 years since the coeducation of Yale College and 140 years since women first took their places as students in the graduate and professional schools, beginning with the School of Art in 1869.

This year, we celebrate the role women have played in the life of Yale University and the role Yale women have played after leaving Yale – in their homes and communities, in the workplace, and in the world at large – with events in New Haven and across the country.

Browse through this Web site, including AYA Regional Events and Event Calendar, to learn about events that may be of interest to you – from the seminal conference, Celebrating Yale Women: 40 Years in Yale College, 140 Years at Yale, which will be held March 26-28, 2010 to local events in several major cities.

New information will be added regularly so we invite you to return often.
